About Franc

Franc auf dem Brinke is an Amsterdam-based drummer, producer, educator, and trainer with a background in Jazz, R&B, Rock and even Classical Music.

He proudly and joyfully recorded, records, performed & performs with outstanding fellow musicians, artists and ensembles, in The Netherlands and abroad. His passion for music began early, always tapping along on whatever when the record player was on. Picked up a pair of drumsticks around age 9 while accompanying his uncle Jeff, a jazz/stride pianist crazy about Fats Waller.

Franc was initially trained by classical percussionists but became captivated by a variety of dance musics, like jazz, funk, r&b, orleans, latin & brazilian music. The concept of groove -the essential element of dance music- is the common denominator in his work.

With degrees in both classical and jazz performance and music education from the Royal Conservatory The Hague, Codarts Rotterdam, Manhattan School of Music, and Drummers Collective New York, Franc pursues a truly personal career.

Besides performing and producing, Franc is passionate and dedicated to education and mentorship. He offers private drumming lessons and shares his expertise with aspiring musicians, both in Amsterdam and the Provence/Cote d’Azur region.
